Present-day territory of the early days of the Company was managed by a public company melioration of Jelgava (Jelgavas PMK). In Latvian scale Kaigu peat bog the largest section of drainage system was serving the whole Semigallia (Zemgales) area. After Jelgava PMK collapsed in the early 90s, the company, including the peat factory was privatized.
Originally founded a company SIA Svētvalde, which was engaged in the construction of roads, meliorative projects and small amounts of peat bid. At the same time, contacts were established and launched in cooperation with Torfwerk Rohenkohl, and in 1995 was established as SIA Laflora.
